“When you take time to renew, restore, and rejuvenate yourself, you send a message to your body, mind, spirit and whole being that you are worthy and deserving of all the good they have to offer. And in return, they will shower you with clarity, inner peace, good health, love, and serenity.” ~ Luminita D. Saviuc
Rejuvenate Yourself
We live in a very fast paced world, running from one place to another and doing one thing after another. Because we get so busy doing all the things we have to do, making them all seem a lot more important than they actually are, we start to panic and live in this constant state of urgency. As a result, we start to accumulate a lot of stress and tension into our bodies and forget what it actually feels like to relax and enjoy life.
How to Restore, Renew and Rejuvenate Yourself
Today I would like to share with you 9 simple yet powerful ways to restore, renew and rejuvenate yourself so that you can enjoy life a little more and bring more peace and happiness into your life. These are really simple things that will generate great results.
1. Rejuvenate yourself through the healing power of relaxing bubble baths.
There’s nothing like a hot bubble bath to relax your mind, body, and spirit. Add some naturally flavored sea salts and flavored candles and you will spoil, pamper and awaken all your senses. By far one of my favorite things to do!
2. Rejuvenate yourself through conscious breathing.
Bring your attention to your breath whenever possible. Breathe in deep through your nose by filling your lungs with oxygen, and exhale through your mouth. When you breathe in, make sure that your belly expands and when you breathe out, the belly should return inward to a neutral position.
While exhaling, you can make the Heart Sound which sound something like “Haaaaaaaa”. I have learned this from practicing QiGong. It’s a great way to release stress and tension from your body and let go of all the things that no longer serve you.
By becoming mindful of your breathing, not only will you get to restore, renew and rejuvenate yourself and improve your health, but you will also train your mind into becoming more and a more present in the now, and trust me, it will change your whole life for the better.
“Shallow breathing is the root of all evil but conscious deep breathing restores and secures our souls.” ~ Desmond Green
3. Rejuvenate yourself with power napps.
Power naps are a great way to reset yourself and return to a place of inner peace, balance, and tranquility. If you want to give this a try, just find a comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed by anyone, whether it’s at home or at work, set your alarm, and for the next 15 minutes or so, go into the zzzzz land. Your mind, body, and soul will thank you for it.
Sooooo good!
“Think what a better world it would be if we all, the whole world, had cookies and milk about three o’clock every afternoon and then lay down on our blankets for a nap.” Barbara Jordan quoting Robert Fulghum in 1987 at Middlebury College Barbara Jordan
4. Rejuvenate yourself by walking barefoot on the grass.
There’s nothing your feet would love more than connecting and feeling Mother Earth underneath it, so why not make your feet happy? Why not make yourself happy? Treat yourself with a long barefoot walk on the grass and when you will be done, you will feel like a million bucks.
“It is well established, though not widely known, that the surface of the earth possesses a limitless and continuously renewed supply of free or mobile electrons as a consequence of a global atmospheric electron circuit. Wearing shoes with insulating soles and/or sleeping in beds that are isolated from the electrical ground plane of the earth have disconnected most people from the earth’s electrical rhythms and free electrons.
… A previous study demonstrated that connecting the human body to the earth during sleep (earthing) normalizes the daily cortisol rhythm and improves sleep. A variety of other benefits were reported, including reductions in pain and inflammation.
Subsequent studies have confirmed these earlier findings and documented virtually immediate physiologic and clinical effects of grounding or earthing the body.” ~ the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine
5. Rejuvenate yourself by dancing out loud.
No matter how busy you are and no matter how many things you have to take care of, 5 minutes break to shake out the tension, your stress and frustrations by dancing out loud on your favorite song will end up making you feel like a new born baby.
6. Rejuvenate yourself by going for a jog.
Jogging is an incredible way to release the stress and tension from your body but also to boost your self-esteem and confidence. The moment you put your headphones on, press play and start running, you start to feel as if you’re on top of the world.
“Running long and hard is an ideal antidepressant since it’s hard to run and feel sorry for yourself at the same time. Also, there are those hours of clearheadedness that follow a long run.” ~ Monte Davis
7. Rejuvenate yourself by calming your mind.
Whenever I feel tense and whenever my mind starts making a lot of noise, telling me that the world will come to an end if I don’t hurry up and do all the things that need to be done, I either take a nap or meditate.
Meditation is a great way to clear your head and calm your mind and the more you practice it, the better you will feel and the less noise your mind will make.
8. Rejuvenate yourself by acknowledging the beauty that surrounds you.
Get out of your mind into the present moment. Acknowledge and appreciate the beauty that surrounds you and understands that just like nature, you don’t need to rush through life in order to achieve the things you need to achieve. One breath at a time, one step at a time, one thing at a time it’s all you have to do.
“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.” ~ Albert Einstein
9. Rejuvenate yourself through self-appreciation.
You work so hard and you do so many things for so many people, but do you ever stop to appreciate yourself for all that you do and all that you are? Do you ever stop to acknowledge and offer yourself the love and appreciation you truly deserve?
It’s not just the world around you that you need to learn to appreciate, but also yourself…
And that’s about you. Do one of these things, or more, whenever you need to restore, renew and rejuvenate yourself, and your whole body will thank you for it.
