The 21-Day Happiness Challenge Day 17: Get Interested in People
“You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.” ~ Dale Carnegie
When talking to someone, do you listen with the intent to understand and learn more about who these people are and what they have to say, or do you listen with the intent to reply?
Get Interested in People Exercise: 21-DAY Happiness Challenge – Day 17
Think now of one person that you could show your genuine interest in today. It can be someone from your family, one of your friends, someone from work, or a person you met recently.
If you can talk to this person, face to face, that’s great, if not, pick up the phone and call them.
Call them and get interested in them – in who they are, in what they do, and in what brings joy into their lives.
Start a REAL and genuine conversation and make them feel valued. Make them feel cherished. Make them feel cared for.
When you’re done, hang up and give yourself a pat on the shoulder!
Congratulations!
You have completed the exercise for the day 🙂
