Everybody had struggled with falling asleep at some point in their lives, we’ve all been there.
Tossing and turning the night away never quite managing to fully drift off to sleep. All the while the clock is mocking you counting down till you have to get up.
The day after I’d gone through this exact cycle I decided to look up ways that you can fall asleep and I came across the 4-7-8 breathing technique which will help with falling asleep in under 1 minute.
It can’t be done I hear you cry!
Well, I thought the exact same way, so I tried it, I went through everything it said and thought to myself “Nope, didn’t think that would work” then woke up the next day.
I was amazed.
So I tried it again and it didn’t work…
But since then I’ve tried it a lot and it seems to work about 25% of the time, the other times It helps me to relax so I can just fall asleep naturally. This is how I began my journey towards perfecting my sleep and 2 years later I’m still not quite there but I’m definitely a lot closer.

It’s as easy as that. Just make sure you don’t repeat it more than 3 times or you could get dizzy, which is definitely the wrong way to fall asleep. And when you breathe out make sure you’re doing so quite forcefully to get all the air out, it should make a whooshing sound.
I really recommend you try it out if you ever have trouble sleeping, well worth it because if it works for you it’s a lifesaver.
