“Lose yourself, Lose yourself. Escape from the black cloud that surrounds you. Then you will see your own light as radiant as the full moon. Now enter that silence. This is the surest way to lose yourself. . . . What is your life about, anyway?— Nothing but a struggle to be someone, Nothing but a running from your own silence… ” ~ Rumi
Lose yourself
“Within the unfathomable depths of your own being, there is a place that hasn’t been corrupted by the terrors of the outside world. A place where God’s love reigns supreme and His unfailing love envelops everything in perfect peace and silence.
It is in this sacred space where blissful peace and eternal love come face to face, not only with one another, but with your Sacred Self as well.
When the mind is made quiet; when the eyes are no longer fixed on a world that seems to enslave, torment and trouble you; when the physical senses are brought to a place of perfect peace and unshakeable stillness, one can finally hear the word of God, whisper, “This is the way, walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21)
Yes!
This is the way, walk in it.
Take simple faith and silent love as your trusted companions. And with your eyes wide shut – to the world of the senses and everything that used to frighten and enslave you – walk “along a path unknown to you, to the place where God is hidden”, as St. John of the Cross expressed it so beautifully in his book, The Dark Night of the Soul.
Use God’s Word as a lamp for your feet, and a light on your path (Psalm 119:105) and lose yourself, in silence….” (Excerpt from my upcoming book)
Lose yourself, In Silence by Jalaluddin Rumi
“Lose yourself,
Lose yourself in this love.
When you lose yourself in this love,
you will find everything.
Lose yourself,
Lose yourself.
Do not fear this loss,
For you will rise from the earth
and embrace the endless heavens.
Lose yourself,
Lose yourself.
Escape from this earthly form,
For this body is a chain
and you are its prisoner.
Smash through the prison wall
and walk outside with the kings and princes.
Lose yourself,
Lose yourself at the foot of the glorious King.
When you lose yourself before the King
you will become the King.
Lose yourself,
Lose yourself.
Escape from the black cloud
that surrounds you.
Then you will see your own light
as radiant as the full moon.
Now enter that silence.
This is the surest way
to lose yourself. . . .
What is your life about, anyway?—
Nothing but a struggle to be someone,
Nothing but a running from your own silence.”
