Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant. ~Robert Lewis Stevenson
Turn Your Life Into an Abundant Garden
Stevenson has been my experience that life is what you make of it. You can look at it many ways. It can be like a cup of coffee it is all in how you make it. I have decided to look at my life as a garden because your harvest all depends on what seeds you plant. The more positive seeds you plant the more beautiful your life will become. Positive seeds can be anything for example thoughts, affirmations, counting your blessings, or taking action.
5 Easy Steps to Turn Your Life Into an Abundant Garden
Every day we are faced with choices. We choose how we feel, what we think, and our beliefs. You can look at a glass as half full or half empty. The attitude you choose can make or break your life. Think about life as that glass and if you choose to think of it as half full then your life shapes itself in a positive manner.
Every thought we think is creating our future. ~ Louise Hay
Positive affirmations are a good way to plant positive seeds into our garden of life. I like to think of the universe as a mirror it reflects back the thoughts that we think and send out. If we think negative thoughts then the universe sends us negative things and if we think positive thoughts and expect the best then the universe sends us good things in return. We just have to make sure that we say more positive affirmations then we complain in a day. Remember there is always strength in numbers.
Start by doing the necessary, then do what is possible, and then suddenly you are doing the impossible. ~ St. Frances of Assisi
Positive visualization is another great way to create a new and beautiful garden of life. Picture yourself living out your dreams. Imagine your new life in great detail. Do not be afraid to dream big! Your life is what you choose to make of it. You set the limits! If you can dream it then you can achieve it!
You are never given a dream without also being given the power to make it true. ~ Richard Bach
Take responsibility for your life and you will be amazed at the positive changes in your life. One way of taking responsibility means to take action by taking steps every day in order to make your dreams come true. Once you take control of your destiny you will find your inner strength. By finding your inner strength you will build more self-confidence and self-esteem. This will assist you in reaching goals that you did not see before as attainable.
Your life is being written day by day, moment by moment, are you the author or is someone else holding the pen? ~ Author Unknown
Last but not least, do not forget to weed your garden. Weeds are the negative thoughts, excuses, obstacles, and people who hold us back. Always surround yourself with positive people and things. Try to avoid gossip and bad news because these things only bring us down. Instead, listen to uplifting music and fill your mind with inspiration. Always remember to look for the positive details in life. For example, stop and enjoy the beauty in nature like blue skies, animals, flowers, and trees.
When I see a palm tree I reflect upon how I want to be like this strong tree. The palm tree bends during the storm but it does not break. When the storm is over it bounces right back! This is a great way to keep your thoughts positive and your mind strong!
We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves. ~ Buddha

Well said. It is definitely as important to “weed” as it is to “seed”. I used to think that “weeding” in my life was mean and not being open, generous, and inclusive. Now, I realize that weeding is necessary. By creating the space or boundaries for the thoughts and people that I want in my life, it’s like creating a special invitation – a VIP package.

Brilliant, thank you for this. I have thought of my inner garden as the place I go to find what I need, I tend it and if I am feeling a little bit wobbly, I check what the weather is doing in my garden.
As regards dreaming big, well 25 years ago I dreamt that I would sail around the world on a little yacht and guess what I am doing just that! Every time I think we are running out of funds I think Oh well something will turn up and guess what! it always does. I have said for many years that I am the luckiest woman alive and guess what..I am. 😉 I love your posts and am so very grateful that I found you……or did you find me? 😉 blessing on you and all who read your posts.
