21-Day Happiness Challenge Day 14

The 21-Day Happiness Challenge Day 14: Practice Playfulness

“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” ~ George Bernard Shaw

On this day, you will stop taking life so seriously and you will start to enjoy yourself a little more. How? By looking at the whole world as if it were your playground, and by allow your inner child to come out and play and to teach you how to have fun in all that you do.

Practice Playfulness Exercise: 21-DAY Happiness Challenge Day 14

Set aside 15 to 30 minutes dedicated to playing. To do the things that bring joy to your life.

Dance.

Doodle.

Watch a funny video on youtube.

Make art.

Play with your pet, if you have one.

Meet up with a friend that makes you laugh.

If you have little children, nephews, cousins, go to the park with them and step into their world. Do what they do, and play as they play 🙂

Lay on the grass, and look at the sky, the birds, and the trees moving in the wind.

Listen to the birds sing.

Follow a butterfly, see where it takes you.

Look at the stars…

Do the things that make you feel happy and alive. And allow all of them to teach you that a playful life is a happy life, and those who give up playfulness, give up happiness.

Congratulations!

You have completed the exercise for the day.

Now go out there and have some fun 🙂
