Guided Meditation for Depression and Anxiety

Only those who have suffered from depression can truly understand the excruciating pain that comes from walking in total darkness, and the feelings of loneliness and total helplessness that are being felt in that cold and dark space.

As someone who has had her share of suffering, I can honestly tell you that I understand how painful it is to suffer from depression. I know how challenging it can be to trust that you will one day be healed and feel well again. But no matter how hard it may be to believe this, I want you to know that no storm lasts forever. The sun will eventually come out, and when that happens, all that darkness will have no more power over you.

“Truly, it is in darkness that one finds the light, so when we are in sorrow, then this light is nearest of all to us.” ~ Meister Eckhart

Today I would like to share with you a beautiful guided meditation for depression that’s meant to clear your mind of all thoughts of fear, worry, and anxiety so that you can feel safe and at peace, and reconnect with that part of you where nothing and no one can hurt or harm you.

Before you begin, find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed for the next 10 minutes. Second, find a comfortable position to sit – it can be in a chair, crossed legged or on your knees, or lay down and when you’re ready to press play. Once the meditation session is over, you can share your experience with all of us by commenting below.

Enjoy 🙂
