Three Easy Steps to Help You Live Your Life Fully

“It is not living that matters, but living rightly.” ~ Socrates

I sometimes see how easy it is to get caught up in this very busy life of ours and to lose touch with who we are, forgetting about the things we love the most, the things that come so naturally to us. I guess it is because we were lead to believe that in order for you to become successful,  you have to work very hard. But if you ask me, this is just a limiting belief, just bad programming. I guess it’s not always easy to be true to yourself and to keep on walking the path you are supposed to be walking. For some of us, it’s so obvious what our strengths, unique gifts and talents are, and even so, we still can’t seem to work with them in order to really be in flow and to live a blissful life. We ignore them, because they come so natural to us, and we think that they are not that big of a deal. This is so wrong.

If everybody would start focusing on their strengths, on their excellent and unique gifts and talents, we would all be so much happier, more relaxed and at peace. At peace with ourselves and the whole world, because we would no longer see life as being a race, where the one who works the hardest succeeds. This reminds me of a song, a very beautiful, song that I am sure you are familiar with: Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us, and the world will be as one.” ~ John Lennon

Can you imagine living in a world like this? So what is it that can be done? How can we learn to stay focused and engaged, and to always work with our passions? What needs to be done in order for us to not move away from who we are, from our dreams, form our goals and aspirations? Well, a lot of things can be done, and you already have the answers within you, it’s just that you are still too shy to listen to that voice and follow it`s guidance.

Live Your Life Fully

1. Acknowledge

First of all, we would have to acknowledge what is happening to us. We have to acknowledge that slowly but surely, we are moving away from our dreams, from our aspirations, from our happiness, away from who we are. If you notice that you are doing a lot of things just for the sake of doing then, and if you feel like you no longer have the energy, nor the time to do the things you love to do, it is a sign that you are not lost, and that you are aware of the things you do, whether they are right or not.  You are not living your life on auto-pilot, not yet.

2. Give up excuses

You need to accept the fact that it is never too late to start doing whatever you feel like doing deep down inside you. It is never too late to light the fire within, never! Of course, it’s so easy to find all kind of excuses and to blame X or Y for what we have become and for the way our lives look at the moment, but if we choose to take this approach, we won’t make any progress. Decide that it is time to say NO to the good so that you can say YES to the best. Decide to start your new life by taking responsibility for the person you are at the moment in order for you to make the proper changes in your life, changes that will bring you closer and closer to who you really are.

3. Commit

Commit yourself to making your dreams come true. Get rid of all the excuses, all of the limiting beliefs, all the barriers, and take action. See yourself as being already there, feel those feelings, own them, become one with them, and promise yourself that each day is yours to move in that direction, a new place and a new world, where you are satisfied with yourself, and your life. A world where you are always providing value through the work you do, always grateful for everything and everyone, always at peace and always happy. Know that your life is now, this very moment, and if you don’t take action now if you don’t make this moment a beautiful and precious one, your life will not get beautiful nor precious as time goes by. And step by step, you will start moving in the direction of your dreams, and you will get to treasure the journey just as much as the destination… step by step you will bet back to yourself, you will get back to serenity.
